Event Description

Join us for a day of KM4Dev community conversations. We'll convene in Open Space to consider where we are and where we want to head as a community. We'll also have space for KM/KS topical conversations and a lot of fellowship. The Core group will also hold an open meeting the night before - we'll post the location once it is decided. Friday night we'll all go out for a no-host (each pays their own) dinner. There is a DGroups list for the event at Please fill in this survey if you plan to attend

Jsamine, Paul, I"d love to take your offer of you/and or Victoria to lend a hand with Thursday. We hope to do some full online conversations about where we've been, where we are going via the full DGroup prior to inform the F2F discussions. Would any of you be willing to help with that? Lucie L and I are working to try and figure out what this might look like. It is SO important since few members actually can come to any F2F. What do you think?

Oh, and yes, there will be tweeting and social reporting to share out the meeting, as we realize so few of our (thousands!) of members can ever come to a F2F. Maybe we can try some live streaming!

Great to wake up and see these responses! I suggest if you want to keep posted on the details, you subscribe to the dgroup at - I'll try and copy over the links to the planning wiki, etc.

Regarding support - right now KM4Dev doesnt' have any funding. So no funds available for travel, etc for any members. :-( That said, I strongly encourage people to look for NGOs who might have funds for scholarships, etc. If I hear of any, I will be sure to share them. IFAD is hosting us, so there is no cost for the meeting itself.

One of the Sparknow team (Victoria Ward or I) will attend and be happy to contribute to the open meeting on the Thursday evening.
