Dear all,
For all those of you based in The Hague or anywhere in the
Netherlands, a group of The Hague-based NGOs (1) is kicking off a series of KM4DEV 'borrels' (drinks). As was the custom before, these borrels are primarily for informal networking and good and fun discussions between like-minded KM4D heads... But since there is such interest among our group, we are likely to offer an alternative, more focused part of the borrel to discuss or even experiment with KM/KS tools and approaches.
Whether for social fun or professional curiosity, you're more than welcome to join us on the first of these borrels, hosted on 22 January 2010 from 17.00 (someone will be around from 16.30). The borrel this time will take place on the premises of the IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre: Bezuidenhoutseweg 2; 2594 AV The Hague; The Netherlands. Our office is right in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MinBuZa), right next to Centraal Station. (2)
Earlier in the day, IRC and like-minded organisations are discussing ways to cooperate and learn from one another in order to provide more comprehensive and efficient ‘helpdesks’ for the water and sanitation in developing countries. At 16.30, there will be a wrap-up session, where the results of the day will be presented and discussed. You are most welcome to join for the wrap-up session at 16:30 in the same place as the borrel.
Check the Ning KM4Dev The Hague website for more information and updates.
We hope to have these borrels on a regular basis, at least once every quarter, perhaps even more frequently. For more info you can also follow this Ning page on the KM4DEV website: http://www.km4dev.org/group/thehaguekm.
With kind regards, Harry
