I hope knowledge management for development plays a vital role in organisations and promote productivity, active managerial styles and accountability.

I am of the view that knowledge management for development is an ongoing activity whereby knowledge is acquired, shared, retrieved and utilized. It looks into the future and how things can be improved.  Enables strategical thinking by management in order to position the organization at a competitive advantage.

I think that KM4Dev is a strategic and continuous action that helps management to make informed decision.it is key to each and every organization as it  improves the ability of organization to solve problems better, adapt ,progress to meet a changing business requirement  also to survive the test of time in  disruptive changes  such as staff turnover

hi Julie I agree with you that km4dev is an ongoing activity when one acquire ,retrive, analyse and share by so doing you are in the process of development

The difference between knowledge management and information management is that knowledge management focuses more on people whereas information management focuses on the processed data. Knowledge management is about analyzing data such as the type of knowledge that is available in the organization, how it can be utilized in order to enhance productivity in the work place. On the other hand Information management is about the collection, processing, use and storage of data, for informed decision making. Information management is the foundation of knowledge management.
