A KM strategy must address the real needs and issues of your organization

  • First and foremost, define your business problem? What KM is to solve & lay out objectives?
  • Is it to avoid the loss of knowledge of long-serving aging workforce knowledge?
  • Is it to improve the knowledge of the workforce?
  • Is it for process innovation?
  • You can add if you are thinking of other points........

Is it always problems or you can identify opportunities that the organization may have?

that was a question, i want to know if do you only Identify problems or also the opportunities that the business might have?

I think a KM strategy is implemented in the workplace if there are challenges faced.it is often used to address challenges in organizations so i believe the approach only identify problems that the business is facing.

developing KM provides a unique opportunity to gain a greater  understanding of  the way the organization operates and the challenges that confront it
