University of Edinburgh KM Professional Development Certificates 16-20 April 2012

The Professional Knowledge Management Certificate course at the University of Edinburgh is open for registration. The course will run at The University of Edinburgh, 16-20 April 2012.

This innovative course explores the design and development of organisational knowledge and learning processes. The focus is on the environment and the way it informs strategic and operational objectives within the organisation. The course look to build understanding of system design, diagnostics and development. It is driven by strategic and operational value and the development of a management approach that appreciates the needs of the individual, the needs of the organisation and the processes that bind the two together.
The learning methods are highly interactive, using practical approaches that can be transferred into the workplace. The courses are dynamic and present the work and practice of public, private and third sector organisations from a variety of industries and countries. The course utilises the K-CoreTM Method, an industry-leading toolkit informed by applied research from the University of Edinburgh; all case examples are derived from consulting engagements conducted by the instructors.

The Professional Knowledge Management Certificate course is specifically for managers preparing for, or charged with, the leadership of Knowledge Management, Human Resource Development or Innovation Management in their organisation. This is an intensive course with the option for a ‘Certificate of completion’ through assessment against criteria derived from the University of Edinburgh’s MSc in the Management of Training and Development (Organisational Learning and Knowledge module).
