Job Opportunity: Knowledge Management Specialist for USAID-funded Project in Pakistan

KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

The QED Group, LLC (QED) is seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist for a broad-based economic growth program in Pakistan. Desired candidates will possess at least 7 years of experience in knowledge management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the areas of knowledge sharing, collaborative learning and strategic communications in a development context an advanced degree in a related field.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise all knowledge management activities under the contract. Provide strategic leadership and support to implementing partners to ensure achievement of project objectives.
• Integrate knowledge sharing and learning across the economic growth program and develop and implement a KM strategy to promote lessons learned across a broad range of audiences.
• Create tools and opportunities for practitioners to connect, share knowledge, and learn from each other to improve practice.
• Provide strategic direction to the project in the area of knowledge management.
• Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with all key implementing partners.
• Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with public and private sector institutions in order to leverage and develop local capacity to contribute to the success and sustainability of the initiative.

Requirements:
• At least 7 years of knowledge management (and related fields of knowledge sharing, peer production, organizational learning, etc.) experience in an international development context required, including strategy development, knowledge auditing, assessment and reporting, training and capacity building;
• Experience designing and supporting Communities of Practice and applying social networking tools and approaches (such as Web 2.0 applications) in a development context preferred;
• Communications experience required, including strategy development, assessment, reporting, designing and disseminating communications products, training and capacity building;
• Knowledge of MIS, website development and content management preferred;
• Experience with USAID and other donor-funded economic development programs required;
• English at the 4/4 (advanced professional proficiency) level is required. Knowledge of Urdu is an advantage.
• Available to work in Islamabad and travel to other regions of Pakistan as needed.
• Advanced degree in a related subject.
