Mendez, England & Associates is recruiting a part-time Knowledge Management Specialist for USAID's Water Sector Communications and Knowledge Management Program to work as a part of a team contributing to the development and implementation of program.
The Water Sector CKM Program provides support to the USAID Water Team including: (1) accessing and managing USAID water and coastal resources management information; (2) providing technical support for analysis and reporting; (3) accessing technical information relating to water and coastal resources; and, (4) knowledge management activities.
The KM Specialist’s responsibilities will include working closely with the Program Team and USAID C/KM Advisor to develop a water sector CKM strategy; design, conduct, and analyze the results of needs assessments for different components of the C/KM program; and provide technical guidance in implementation and the creation/adaptation of web-based resources.
QUALIFICATIONS: Masters or PhD degree in communications, organizational development, management, international relations, and/or a related field; Minimum five years relevant experience in C/KM activities, including knowledge management, communications, online learning, training, communities of practice, social media, and Web 2.0; Demonstrated leadership, management, and organizational skills; Ability to be responsive to client needs and to meet short deadlines; a professional demeanor; and Knowledge of USAID and its operations and policies preferred.
