Fall Health & Nutrition Global Initiative Knowledge Management Intern 

Summary

The Health & Nutrition Global initiative team of Save the Children in Washington, DC seeks a recent undergraduate or current graduate student for a part or full-time (20-35 hrs/week) fall internship.  The intern will work under the supervision of the Senior Specialist for Knowledge Management with oversight from the Senior Director. The intern will focus on knowledge management tasks for the Global Intiative.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and contributes to the knowledge management strategy for the GI, targeting nearly 900 Save the Children staff working in health, nutrition, HIV, and WASH across the globe
  • Supports the creation and launch of technical capacity building approaches
  • Supports the construction, organization and maintenace of the GI's intranet sites
  • Helps with documentation, reporting and other program learning activities   

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or current graduate student preferably in knowledge management, communications, library science, information science or related field
  • SharePoint 2010 experience preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to receive credit from their college or institution. (This is only needed when an internship is offered.)
