OK Here you go peeps: 22 January 2010, at IRC (Bezuidenhoutseweg 2, right in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs / MinBuZa, next to Centraal Station) we will be hosting the first of a series of borrels that has been warmly embraced by many The Hague-based organisations: HIVOS, PSO, IICD, ISS, SNV and Oxfam-Novib. There will be borrels every 2 or 3 months (to discuss still but we are getting on with these regular borrels!!!).

The exact time will follow later but should be around 16.00.
Thank you all for your enthusiasm and see you then!

Great! Ready to bring and share my argentine mate but not sure that counts as co-sponsoring? Looking forward to it

Hi all!
Would love to link up at a borrel soon, it's been too long!
And since I/we missed out on the Brussels meeting, perhaps a little informal exchanges can make up for lost opportunity?
Hope all are well!

Now, that sounds cool-although I am not familiar with the Borrel concept but I guess it is worth trying :)

Utrecht would be nice.. Our office ( is located in Ede which may be too far East for some of you. But .. an office environment would be more like work :(

I'm all up for f2f as well!

Lilia, so far nothing's planned for a borrel+ as you're suggesting but how about coming over to The Hague for the weekend and then it justifies the trip for you? Once I also talked with Sarah about organising a borrel in Utrecht which would be easier for you... Up for grabs anyone?

I'm also in for a laptop-less borrel... I agree, beer really gets the keyboard sticky :-p

BTW, among all ways of communicating wirelessly, I prefer laptopless and face2face over faceless and laptop2laptop. It also saves laptop cleaning time if someone spills a borrel :)

Hi everyone, I'm not really around the corner (Enschede :), so would be interested to join something which is more than a borrel (e.g. some open-space-ish afternoon + borrel).

Well, wherever you are in NL, The Hague is just around the corner :) and after borrelling, I just tack the train home ..
