Biography
Lakshman Pillai has over 18 years of experience in Information Technology, Workforce Transformation (WT) that includes Knowledge Management (KM). After gaining both technical and leadership skills for twelve years and feeling the importance of WT & KM in this knowledge era, he has founded Lpcube Systems in 2001 and Dexlau Consulting in 2004 to transform his vision into a reality.
He is leading a team of talented people to architect and market an innovative KM solutions and a complete end-to-end workforce transformation solution. He has delivered thought provoking presentations on "effective" KM in conferences, provided KM consulting to knowledge enterprises across the globe and has published interesting articles on KM.
Before starting this business venture, he spent seven exciting years with Oracle Asia Pacific in Singapore. In Oracle, he managed Knowledge Systems & Services and Partner Technical Services team to help partners build, market & deploy solutions. He introduced KM strategy to lead his team into the future. He has traveled extensively to various countries in Asia Pacific, USA and France and got enlighten opportunities to observe and feel the differences in culture and economy.
Before joining Oracle, he started his career with WIPRO INFOTECH, Bangalore, INDIA and spent five valuable years. WIPRO was his dream company even during his college days. His determination, learning power, focus and the amazing achievements helped him get into WIPRO. During his tenure with WIPRO, he has worked on many R&D projects at Novell Inc, USA and at Sun Microsystems, Singapore. His in-depth knowledge and dedication in benchmarking and delivering high value to customers helped the company win many large deals.
He has won many awards for his outstanding performance during his tenure in ORACLE as well as WIPRO. He is proud of his working with two great IT leaders WIPRO and ORACLE -" the major steppingstones" in his career. His strong interest in reading, listening, leadership, strategic thinking, entrepreneurship, knowledge management and spirituality energized him to work on visionary ideas. He has helped many small and large companies including MNCs in Asia Pacific and USA.
Pillai's academic qualifications include a B.Sc. in Physics from Jamal Mohamed College, Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) from Nehru Memorial College, Bharathidasan University and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai Kamaraj University, India. He was a top-ranker in both graduate and postgraduate studies.
