The Wiki Survey results for Philipp Grunewald's research offer

One initiative I took on as part of the IFAD synthesis project got going due to a conversation with Philipp Grunewald where we were wondering how a community like KM4Dev could guide a researcher’s activities.  Philipp was willing to give 2 hours a week to the community in some kind of research effort, but wanted to find a topic that was useful or…

A mis-leading sign of a KM4Dev downturn

I've been studying the Graham Durant-Law Social Network Analysis report (http://wiki.km4dev.org/AAR_SNA) for the IFAD funded studies synthesis.  The most striking graphic shows posts by year with a blue line suggesting to me that the number of posts were falling alarmingly:

The big drop after 2010 made me think, "Oh maybe…

Nearby & overlapping communities

I'm wondering what communities adjoin or overlap with KM4Dev.  I just added http://www.southsouth.info/ to the list on the Wiki: http://wiki.km4dev.org/Adjoining_communities_--_frequented_by_KM4Dev_members

What communities do you participate in that are related to KM4Dev?

Synthesis study of IFAD-funded projects

I've been remiss in connecting with activity on this Ning Site. More to come, but I wanted to post a bit of context, starting with an introduction of me in this role that Pete Cranston posted on the Dgroup list on September 25:

As I am sure you all remember, there have been three pieces of research work carried out as part of the IFAD support to KM4Dev

  • SNA: a Social Network Analysis of the network (and of its Francophone counterpart,…

What inspires people in KM(4Dev): PEOPLE (and a few other topics) - reflections from Camillo Villa after the KM4Dev Seattle event

Camilo Villa recently posted this very inspirational message about a little survey he did following the Seattle KM4Dev 2013 annual gathering (with full event documentation at: http://wiki.km4dev.org/KM4Dev_2013_workshop).

[HimalAndes Focused Conversation] A.Ponce: Introduction to Week 2

Dear KM4Dev-ers,

It gives me great pleasure to begin my task as moderator of this second

week of the  focused conversation on "Knowledge sharing around water

management innovations in the Andes and Himalayas".

This week we will share four excellent case studies which will allow us

find a common base to bridge the Andes and the Himalayas, two distant

mountain ecosystems populated by ancient cultures who have found

fascinating ways to…
