Trying Fun New Methods

I recently had the pleasure to support projects managed by the USDA FAS and the USAID Tanzania Mission. The workshops I was asked to lead presented an awesome opportunity to practice using new-to-me methods, and I was incredibly pleased with the results. The first was Graphic Recording- the room was full of representatives from different implementing partner teams, all with a different role in the project. Two key outcomes came of this method 1) there was a visual of how the different, most…

KM and the Case of Leaking Bromine

“Bromine!” I said with a sense of amusement in my voice as we drove down from Mumbai to Pune. “Yes, leaking bromine...it usually causes a mess in the warehouse, and one of my last KM projects was to stem this issue” Rudolf said. I rest my head on the comfortable upholstery and imagine myself in a warehouse and ask – will my KM projects ever reach a warehouse?

Rudolf does have a certain element of surprise value to him. He carries a Canon SLR still camera and a Sony full-HD…

Do you know Institutional Knowledge Management Strategies in the Environment Sector?

I am looking for examples of institutional knowledge management strategies, for all organizations. And for lessons learned, evaluations, and research articles focused on knowledge management strategies of large institutions.

It would be great if you could share examples, documents if you know any.

I'll write a blogpost afterwards to summarize the articles I collected.

Thanks in advance!

What are the measures that matter for knowledge management? Share your story in the KM Impact Challenge!

We all know that there are no simple answers or one-size-fits-all approaches but there is increasing consensus that… Continue
