KM and Comms: How do you staff up to do both well?

Dear KM4Dev colleagues

 I wonder if you’d be interested in contributing to a comparative exercise I’m conducting on behalf of IFAD’s Independent Office of Evaluation (IOE).  They are considering how to gear up both their KM and communications efforts.  The question is, how closely do these overlap and how best do you structure your staff team so you can do a good job in both areas?

Doing the mashed potato with Linked Open Data

Dear KM4Dev friends (with apologies for cross posting!)

 

You may be interested in this blog post from Denise Recheis, or REEEP, who’ve just launched a new publication “Linked Open Data: the essentials”. 

Would be interested in examples of where ‘mash ups’ – bringing data and information together from multiple sources – has led to tasty results.  And also lessons on how to avoid an indigestible mush (the photo doesn’t look that promising!)
