Call for proposals: Knowledge Fair Latin America and Caribbean, Cali, Colombia

Dear all,

In January 2009, Rome-based agencies working in agricultural research and development, and food security joined forces to co-organize the first Knowledge Share Fair in order to enable their staff to showcase, recreate and invent ways to share knowledge and improve access to it. Building on the successful outcome of the Share Fair, a similar event will be organized by the ICT Program (ICT-KM) of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with other organizations who are working in related fields. The event will take place at the campus of the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) in Cali, Colombia and retain a regional focus on Latin America and the Caribbean.

A meeting of the Knowledge Management for Development (KM4Dev) community will follow the Share Fair (May 27 and 28).

While we are currently working with the organizing committee of the KM4Dev meeting on a concept to submit to all of you, I am sharing with you below the call for proposal that was just released for the
Share Fair.

If you or your organization has activities in LAC that include novel and effective knowledge sharing approaches please share the below announcement and the call for proposal with your colleagues, and partners.

A Spanish announcement is available at: http://tinyurl.com/y8wc7gp

Deadline for submission is March, 15.
