in organisation knowledge management strategy is the plan that describes how an organisation will manage its knowledge better for the benefit of the organisation and other stakeholder.

it has to address the real needs and issues of the organisation

it should be based on a holistic approach

it should identify key staff groups for example front line staff, administrative and support staff, line managers and IT staff.

It should have a right approache this means from Top - Bottom up

KM strategy must  based on knowledge mapping exercise

It should also be aligned with organisational overall strategy and objectives

Lastly should focus on senior management involvement, consult organisational strategy documents and other strategic research project e.g. staff satisfaction and external market surveys.

hello tlalane, i like your KM strategy post, but I'm confused about the part 'It should have a right approache this means from Top - Bottom up'

Could you explain what this means?

greetings, Carmen
