Dear KM4Dev-ers,

Earlier this year the community talked about renewing our FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) which have sat fallow for a while on the http://www.km4dev.org site. There are so many rich conversations that flow past us in the discussions, but few of them are captured for our use now and in the future.

Thanks to a grant from SDC, we started a project to renew and expand our FAQ. Earlier this spring four of us raised our hands indicating our interest in the project: Urs Karl Egger, Ben Ramalingam, Lucie Lamoureux and Nancy White. We are each getting some compensation for our work from the SDC funds. This is a springboard to creating an easy way for the community to continue to nurture its FAQs going forward. We have crafted a plan and begun work and want to report back to you on the progress.

We have done a scan of all the past KM4Dev mailing list messages along with the data from our community surveys. We have compiled these into a list of nearly 150 potential topics. We have picked four initial topics as our first test bed to develop a practice for FAQ development, which we are bringing to you for feedback. We will adjust our practice as needed, then embark on another four topics. These four are currently being selected by the community via a survey. Watch out for the results soon!
