Event Description

A USAID-funded East Africa Share Fair: Knowledge Exchange to Accelerate Progress Toward FP2020’s Goal will be held in Arusha, Tanzania, September 10-11, 2014. The gathering will include a limited number of people from both private and public sectors working in family planning to achieve progress toward the Family Planning 2020 (FP2020) goal in the East Africa region. Participants will include key stakeholders and implementers, such as FP2020 representatives, IBP partners and USAID regional and country mission staff.

The purpose of the event is to share knowledge and learning around country-level FP2020 implementation best practices and build the capacity of local FP program managers to understand and use proven knowledge management techniques to support FP programming.

This is a unique opportunity for those invited to use face-to-face participatory techniques to gather and share implementation methods that have been effective in their work. Local FP knowledge will be highlighted and the conversation will involve the collaboration of many as opposed to a select few. The knowledge and information shared in this setting will be synthesized and widely disseminated to support continuous improvement and learning.

We invite you to join us!  Please note that space is limited and event registration will close at 60 registrants. For more information and to register, visit the conference registration page or contact Rebecca Shore at rebecca.shore@jhu.edu.
