Spanish Radio Academy to propose to the UNESCO the founding of a "World Radio Day" within the International Days UN calendar
At the request of Spain, UNESCO Executive Board will consider a proposal to declare a World Radio Day at its 187th session on 21 September - 7 October this year. UNESCO's Secretariat has been requested to undertake a feasibility study of the proposal to examine the level of support it might achieve and to gather ideas for it. A key part of the study is a Consultation Process with all relevant and interested parties, which is why we are contacting you.
This survey offers you an opportunity to respond to the World Radio Day proposal, and to have your concerns and ideas included in the study. Your response is critically important to this process. We would be most grateful if you could complete the online questionnaire by 17 June 2011. Kindly take into account the short-time scale: your feedback is needed and will be of great benefit to the outcome.

If you believe that other sections or divisions of your organisation, or other stakeholders or concerned experts, may wish to respond to the survey, please send their name and email address, to UNESCO_RadioSurvey@comunica.org and we will send them an invitation.
