CONSULTANCY - Delivering an online training and support to facilitate a Community of Practices on plastic reduction
Background
IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) is implementing a variety of projects to reduce plastic pollution around the globe. Part of this work is being rolled out in the Mediterranean region, where several NGOs and conservation organisations are identifying best practices for plastic reduction, as part of the PlastiMed BeMed project.
So far, the project has helped to improve the knowledge on the circulation of plastics in the Mediterranean. The Monaco Ocean Week 2022 saw the first steps for developing a Community of Practices (CoP), which will seek to strengthen knowledge exchange between the different partners that build the network of a newly established association, called BeMed.
In 2023, the PlastiMed BeMed Capitalization phase aims to train the members of the BeMed initative to become CoP facilitators, so the exchange of practices can be upscaled across the Mediterranean region, as well as to maintain the community active.
The aim of this consultancy is to support the development and growth of the Community of Practice by:
The maximum budget available for this consultancy is €7,500 (VAT and all other taxes incl.)
