Vacancy by WaterAid on behalf of KnowledgePoint
KnowledgePoint is the result of two years of collective brainstorming, research, and collaboration between several development and humanitarian technical support services (TSS) hosted by WaterAid, IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre, RedR, EngineerAid and Practical Action.
The Aim of the KnowledgePoint project is to develop and promote a high quality, widely used service for the response to technical enquiries from humanitarian and international development actors. It is assumed that as providers begin work together, track trends and plan together, technical support services will improve dramatically.
The Project Manager (consultant) will lead the development of KnowledgePoint, and expand the collaboration with and beyond water, sanitation, and hygiene sector organisations to a wider community providing technical query services. The position will require the development of partnerships and management of the development of the software behind the collaborative service under the guidance of the supervisory Board of Governors and with support of the project Working Group.
This consultancy is expected to run from February for a total period of 10 months. The level of effort is expected to vary greatly over this period, but is not expected to be more than a total of 110 days (50%).
Deadline: Proposals are to be submitted by no later than 12h00 on Monday, 28th February 2011.
Please submit via email to: email@example.com.
