Knowledge management can turn the world upside down as we know it!

It is understood that KM is still in its very early stage and lots of research work is going on.However people are unaware that they are using KM in their everyday life and work too.The idea of implementing KM in first the small sector and in the very grass root level is mind boggling because I come from a very small place in India and wish to pursue doctorate in KM implementation.But the people are so negative about it that its very depressing.I have to devise some way to crack the ice and make it acceptable.I believe some path breaking work has been done on this but how much in India I am not sure.
