IRC is seeking an Information Officer to contribute to a vision on how to improve the accessibility and use of its various information channels, in particular by innovation around the IRC
WASH library and by linking it to other IRC information services such as
E-Source and programme outputs. The Information Officer will work closely with the Strategic Communication Officer of IRC to develop an action plan on improved information services and approaches and to implement the ideas. The Information Officer will also collaborate with other organisations, including
Knowledge Point (collaborative helpdesk service initiated by IRC)
Duty station: The Hague, The Netherlands
Salary: Project Officer level, BBRA scale 8 or 9 (min. € 2,280.63 and max. €3,469.57 per month)
Requirements include:
- Master’s level in Information and media studies
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in information management
- Sufficient technical expertise and a proven track record using innovative online technologies
- Preferably some knowledge of the main concepts and trends in the development sector and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) / Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) sector
- Fluent in English and preferably one other language (French, Spanish, Portuguese).
- Availability to travel
- Working permit for The Netherlands (granted automatically for EU citizens)
