Management Sciences for Health's (MSH) intranet service is used by over 2,000 employees geographically dispersed around the globe. It is the most important channel for employee communication and knowledge exchange. The Intranet Specialist plays a pivotal role in helping us enhance this service and create an excellent electronic channel for employee communication. The primary function of the Intranet Specialist is to engage users across all employee groups and levels to build a lively intranet community and foster adoption of leading-edge social collaboration tools. The Intranet Specialist will help to maximize the value of the intranet as a strategic communication and knowledge management tool by helping employees to quickly find the information they need to do their jobs, manage their lives as employees, connect to other users, and improve employee engagement. The Intranet Specialist is primarily responsible for the overall content and functionality of the Company Intranet, as well as weekly internal newsletter. He or she directs how content will be arranged; how graphics will look; and how scripts interact with content and other media, including databases and multimedia presentations.
