Tacit knowledge can be captured through discussions with the people in the organisation. A staff meeting is helpful in tapping out what the people have in their minds. In a meeting people are free to air their views on different aspects which may help to improve the running on the organisation let alone managing knowledge in an organisation.
Some people may not want to share their experiences with others, and this made the capturing and codification of tacit knowledge more complex. it is said that tacit knowledge reside on people`s minds, thefore you cannot force someone to share his/her knowledge
That is very true Lesedi, observation at work places can also be an effectve way of learning from other peolpe or finding out what they know hence one will be able to document the knowledge acquired through observation.

I do agree with you marry and when people share tacit knowledge which is acquired through experiences they can improve their skills in organizational activities and become more creative.
Tacit knowledge discussed through community of practice as it works as a group that shares knowledge, learns together, and creates common practices. Communities of practice share information, insight, experience, and tools about an area of common interest.
communities of practice can also be used as a mechanism of capturing tacit knowledge. This happens through socialisation of people of the same mutual experience and needs.
