Core Group

KM4Dev is largely a volunteer effort. As we grew, it became clear that we needed some sort of governance group to support the community and help respond to its needs. Hence, the Core Group was created in May 2004.
The Core group interacts via a Dgroup --  km4dev-coregroup[AT]dgroups.io. You can contact Core Group members at this address or by writing to contact[AT]km4dev.org.

All Core group meetings are documented hereMore information about the Core Group is available on the KM4Dev wiki.

Currently, the Core group consists of community members acting in a voluntary capacity as a steering committee for KM4Dev. Core group members contribute their time and energy towards supporting the needs of KM4Dev members and building the community. The Core group terms of reference are found here.

We will like to share knowledge in WASH sector to start with. So reinventing the wheel is avoided. secondly many groups worjing in isolation towards the same objective of improving water , sanitation and Hygiene condition in south Asia , share their experiences and help each other. we are a group of Fresh Water Action Network in south Asia. FANSA -Pak. but not able to initiate it properly.

Hi, M. Jahagir

Thanks for expressing interest! What is it that you would like to do in your region? Anyone can join our global online community, but some members have formed local groups which get together for meet ups and "local learning."

We in south Asia are perhaps the most deserving case for making use of this initiative. Some how we have a trend of not sharing our knowledge. Though the key to development would be the first publication of an idea or development.
Request a special program to make use of this idea by Pakistan, India, Bangladesh , Nepal, Colombo (SL).
We seriously agree that it (The KM) can alleviate many of our handicaps in development.
