Thinking this is becoming a broader discussion, I just tried to summarize our recent exchange and posted it to the main km4dev dgroup. Maybe we could pick it up there...

On your video musings Hannah, what was mostly in my mind was reporting using interview style, but I would also want to explore the others. In any case, I think a viral approach is most likely to work. Some people like playing around with cameras, ot…

The correct answer is: you cannot make sure ;-) Seriously though, I'm starting to think that with gender - as with much of KM/KS - it may be better not to label it as a gender message. I think people's preconceptions tend to take over in those cases…

Organisations and Networked Work

Now that the video is ready, I can add this post on a second thread from the KM4Dev2009 EduHuddle, which is related to networked ways of working. I didn't participate in the breakout discussion on this, but what really resonated with me from that group's report-back was the idea that from an organisational perspective it is not only unnecessary but unsustainable to think in terms of having all the knowledge-related capacities relevant to your work within your own organisation. Some thoughts generated by the KM4Dev2009 EduHuddle

Getting to this a bit late, but maybe it's still of interest....a couple of threads I found interesting from the EduHuddle (attended Day 1 only) relate to capacity building, the first more around individuals and the second around organisations and networks. Exploring Social Reporting from KM4Dev 2009
